Refuge in the Atlantic Pyrenees on the Way of St. James

Welcome to Refugio Orisson, a refuge for pilgrims and hikers on the Way of St. James. From the first warm days, from April to mid-October, we open the doors of our haven of peace in the heart of the mountains. We offer half-board accommodation for one night, a stopover in the heart of nature, exclusively reserved for pilgrims and hikers (motorized vehicles are prohibited).

Meals are served at communal tables, with a set menu.

Pets are not allowed. Book your stay in our refuge in the Atlantic Pyrenees during your pilgrimage on foot to St. James, on the Roncevaux stage of the GR65.

In the heart of nature

Our refuge in the 64 is ideally located in the village of Uhart-Cize, on the GR65, towards Santiago de Compostela. We are between Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port and the Col de Bentarte. Saint Jean Pied de Port is 8 kilometers away, or a 2h30-3h walk. We are located on the stage towards Roncesvalles, our refuge becomes an ideal stopover to face this stage in two stages. You will stay at 780 meters above sea level, in the middle of the mountains.

Organize your stopover in our refuge in the 64 to Compostela!
